Graduating from Science Po Aix in 2010, Jean-Philippe Mengual has been involved in free software communities for about a decade. He is among the first blind users venturing into Linux at the beginning of the 2000s. His sense of leadership across the communities and his passion for training makes him a natural interface between "basic" users and Linux technicians or experts. His long computing experience and his network gives him the needed overarching vision to decide over the technical project roadmap. He deals with relationship with labs, defines and designs R&D work. He trains trainers, and is involved in business development. Demanding in his work, his qualities are both availability and pedagogy, so that everyone working at this sides feel reassured and confident.
